The sequel to M. Night Shyamalan's suspenseful action-adventure, "The Last Airbender" reunites the heroes of the film with their friends, family and fellow benders in this coming-of-age story. It seems they have finally achieved peace in their lives after defeating Firelord Ozai five years ago. But everything is about to change when another whirlwind arrives to disturb this delicate balance. Tonraq, father of Aang and Sokka, abides by his father’s wishes that Aang marry Princess Yue so he can help unite the Northern and Southern Water Tribes together. Unbeknownst to Aang, Yue is a strong waterbender and can stop Tonraq from following his father’s wishes. Princess Yue has other plans and will not let Aang marry her. When she breaks up with him, Aang decides to visit the countryside with Katara to visit his father in the Northern Water Tribe. Unbeknownst to them, Zhao is waiting with his soldiers to kidnap them. Meanwhile, General Fong has brought the Fire Nation Army into the North Pole with Zhao’s help. Fire Lord Zuko hires the Hakka tribe known as The Barbarians to help him with his invasion of the North Pole. When Aang and Katara arrive, they are captured by the Hakka Tribe. Aang is made General Commander of the Barbarians. While they are away, Zuko has managed to defeat Kuei’s forces and send him to prison. He also has taken over Ba Sing Se with an army of Firebenders led by Iroh (who had betrayed his brother Toph). He sends General How’s troops into Sato City which he then tricks them into surrendering. Zhao, General Fong and Zuko have a meeting where they officially declare war on the remainder of the Earth Kingdom. Zhao and Feng invite Mai and Ty Lee to the gathering in hopes that they will join in on this cause. When they come to Ba Sing Se, they discover that all of their bending abilities have been blocked by Zuko’s special metal bracelets. Zhao invites them to join in his cause and they accept. Aang has become a successful general in the Fire Nation Army with Katara as his personal healer. Aang leaves Katara at the North Pole with Appa where he goes to fight Zhao’s forces. Aang eventually finds Zhao who had captured Katara and was forcing her to bend water for him. Enraged, Aang attacks Zhao by bending all the metal from his bracelets together becoming a metal statue of himself. In doing so, he collapses but then takes a piece of the metal as a new necklace that keeps him alive. Aang gives up all hope of winning this battle and looks at Mai and Ty Lee who have been given command of their own army. He goes back to Katara intending to leave her there because she will surely be killed if they continue on this path. cfa1e77820
